To complete the team at the Laboratory for the Analysis of Governance and Public Action in Europe (LAGAPE), the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (SSP) is advertising a position for:

Contract duration: 1 year, renewable twice for 2 years each time, maximum 5 years

Activity rate: 100%

Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny, Géopolis building

Your activities

The position is under the responsibility of Professor Martino Maggetti. The successful candidate will be expected to develop research on public policy, public administration, governance, and/or regulation.

  • 50% of the activity rate will be dedicated to the completion of a doctoral thesis in political science.
  • 50% of the activity rate will be devoted to supporting teaching and research tasks, under the responsibility of Professor Martino Maggetti and the professors of the Laboratory for the Analysis of Governance and Public Action in Europe (LAGAPE).
  • Specifications

Your profile

We are looking to hire someone with the following profile:

  • Master's degree in political science, public policy and management (PMP), or equivalent qualification.
  • Interest in pursuing research activities and developing a thesis in the field of public policy, public administration, governance, and/or regulation, in connection with Professor Maggetti's research interests.
  • Fluency in French and good knowledge of English; knowledge of a second national language is an asset.
  • Participate in LAGAPE activities.
  • Presenting one's work at international conferences.
  • Participating in a relevant doctoral program may be a requirement of the position.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work autonomously and independently, and as part of a research team
