TIDES - Towson International Development Economics Symposium  2026

Towson University will host a one-day symposium of Applied Microeconomics research focused on International Development. We anticipate having roughly a dozen twenty-minute talks over the course of one day. We will also have a poster session for undergraduate, master's or early stage PhD students. The Symposium will take place on Friday, April 17th, 2026. Attendance for presenters and non-presenters is free. The Economics Department will provide lunch and parking for paper presenters. Presenters will be expected to discuss one paper.

We are particularly interested in presenters from institutions within the region that are similar to Towson, and for speakers from underrepresented backgrounds in Economics from any institution.

Abstracts are due February 27th and presenters will be notified by March 5th of their acceptance. Full papers must be submitted no later than April 3rd so discussants have enough time to review them.
